PG and Research Department of Mathematics

About the department:

Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2005 and it offers three year undergraduate degree(B.Sc.) in Mathematics. The two year M.Sc degree is being offered from the year 2009 and B.Sc. Mathematics is offered from the year 2010 and M.Phil Mathematics is offered from 2013- 2014. The department aims at overall development of the students by involving them in various academic and non- academic programmes like seminars, Exhibitions, Workshops, Department Day, Mathematics day, Guest Lectures, Ramanujam's Fest etc. under the banner of MATH MEDALLION. The Department has registered good academic record in Gold Medalist, Rank Holders and also in placement. The Department has organized one International conference, four National Seminars and three Workshops.

Library:      

  • Library is not merely an depository of books, but an active workshop instrument in the production of original thinking.
  • Pg Mathematics department possess library of its own. A part from department library the students and the faculty members also use the central library of the college. These libraries are wonderful assets as it delivers and amplifies digital and literacy information.
  • They provide online and print resources to support critical, creative and collaborative thinking.
  • The library has a suit of computers that are frequently used by both faculty members and students to deliver lessons in all subjects.
