The department was started in 2006 and M.Phil in 2011.The department aim at overall development of the students involving them in various academic and non-academic programmes like seminar, exhibitions, workshops, cultural events, guest lectures by experts etc. The department achieves a good academic record by producing gold medallists in PG and in research courses in university examination.

Eligibility

A candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree only is he/she undergone the prescribed course of study in the college affiliated to the University for a period of not less than two academic years, passed the examination of all the four semesters prescribed by earning minimum 50 percent of marks and fulfilled such conditions as have been prescribed thereafter.
